What to expect during treatment
Appointments are scheduled for 90 MINUTES to allow time for a brief consultation, the service itself, and short aftercare guidance. During the session hair is removed from the root, which creates smoother skin compared with surface shaving. Expect some temporary redness or sensitivity that typically diminishes within hours to days.
You’ll be able to return to most daily activities after your appointment. Because many local clients plan waxing around early surf sessions, golf tee times, or commutes, we book with timing in mind so you can arrive or leave for work, the racetrack, or the coast without lengthy interruption.
Preparing for your appointment
Before your waxing, ensure your hair is at least a quarter inch long and exfoliate the area. Avoid lotions and creams on the day of your appointment so the technician can achieve a clean removal. These simple steps improve grip and reduce the likelihood of missed hairs during the service.
Del Mar’s commuter and outdoor lifestyle often means clients book before or after work, surf, or a racetrack day. We’re located near I‑5 and Via De La Valle for quick stops, and close to Solana Beach for visitors arriving by Coaster—plan timing to avoid rushes or event crowds.
Results, timing and seasonality
Waxing removes hair from the root, which generally yields smoother skin for longer than shaving and can produce softer regrowth over time. Individual results vary with hair type and personal cycle; waxing does not guarantee a specific timeline, but many clients notice a clear difference versus shaving between appointments.
Demand is highest in May, June and July as clients prepare for swimsuit season, beach visits, and Del Mar events. If you have a specific weekend, racetrack outing, or coastal trip, book ahead—those months fill faster because of summer travel and outdoor activities in the area.
